Cooperative Worksite Experience
Bristol TEC Builds Bridge of Partnership with GMN USA

The Bristol Technical Education Center is building a strong partnership with GMN USA, a global corporation that specializes in the production and maintenance of precision high speed spindles. Senior Nick Suszczynski started working at GMN USA in February as part of the Cooperative Worksite Experience Program at Bristol TEC. Last year Bristol TEC student Adam Santoro was the first to go through the work study program at GMN USA. Adam now has a permanent full-time position at GMN USA.

Gary Quirion, President of GMN USA, said that the quality of the students from Bristol TEC has been a very nice surprise. "They are very well trained and very prepared to work in the real world of work," said Quirion. Quirion said that he initiated the partnership two years ago when they decided that they wanted to take on technical school students as trainees. "We did some research on it on the Internet and found out about Bristol TEC through their Web site."

About his experience at GMN USA, Nick said that he really enjoys it. "It's a great job and it's good to have a graduate of the Bristol TEC program working here already."
